The process of fasting creates an environment to grow closer to God by providing an opportunity to focus our time and attention on our relationship with God. It is crucial that we temporarily put aside the distractions, stresses, and diversions while we fast. At the same time fasting weakens the influence of the carnal nature which allows us to make lasting changes.
If you want to pray more, read your bible more, worship God more deeply, break strongholds or just be more mindful of God's presence throughout the day, fasting is the place to start. It is what Jesus did in order to spend time with his Father before he started his ministry.
Fasting should be a regular habit of every Christian who wants a deeper relationship with God.
Where we put our time and attention, is where relationships will grow.

The book was written by Jimmy Moore and Dr. Jason Fung.
This is part of the Master Cleanse. The Master Cleanse itself is not Keto but the Salt Water Flush (SWF) is. The SWF is something that has been helpful for me when starting an extended fast.

Christ came to restore not only the lost out of darkness but to restore those in the church who are broken-hearted or are captive to strongholds (Isaiah 61:1). In our quest to be more Christ-like, we must pray against the veils and strongholds in the spiritual battle that attempt to keep us from being restored.
